Thank you for following my “VIP Rebates Simplified Blog”, which launched in February. There have been significant changes in VIP39 and important VIP37 deadlines are coming up. They can all impact your business financials. Let me summarize.

Understanding strategic changes in VIP39

The Netformx team have been busy analyzing the changes Cisco has made with VIP39. Heads up! Some of them are quite strategic and can impact your business in a positive and significant way. As we did for VIP38, we have leveraged our deep understanding of Cisco programs to analyze how Cisco rewarded partners over previous VIP periods and then compared them to the latest, VIP39.

The Netformx VIP Index provides insights by track and subtrack into where Cisco is targeting their rebate payouts. We have also analyzed SKUs by subtrack.

The VIP39 results echo the strategic direction of VIP38 and are another Cisco step to align the VIP program with their desired migration from Architecture to Annuity. For example, while SKUs were removed from Architecture there were a good number of SKUs added to Annuity. Security continues to play a significant role in both Architecture and Annuity rebates.

There is plenty of opportunity to capture more VIP rebate dollars if you are on top of the VIP39 changes and consider adjusting your selling motions accordingly. Are you ready for VIP39?

Revised shipping deadlines for VIP37 rebates

Cisco has adjusted the Shipping and Payment Deadlines for VIP37 as follows:

  • Shipment cut-off date: October 30, 2022
  • Payments: For order shipments made between October 30, 2021 and October 30, 2022, payments will be made in three remaining payment runs with approximate payment dates in July 2022, October 2022, and January 2023.

Revised shipping deadlines for VIP38 rebates

Cisco has adjusted the Shipping and Payment Deadlines for VIP38 as follows:

  • Shipment cut-off date: October 30, 2022
  • Payments:
    • Approximate date to receive first payment for orders shipped between February 12, 2022 & April 30, 2002: July 2022
    • For orders shipped between April 30, 2022 and October 30, 2022, payments will be made in two runs with approximate payment dates in October 2022, and January 2023.
